"The Master of Suspense" Alfred Hitchcock's earliest surviving work on record The White Shadow (1924) is now available for free streaming via the National Film Preservation Foundation (NFPF).
A tale of two sisters--one good and the other evil--based on Michael Morton's novel Children of Chance, the silent film was long thought to be lost for decades until it was recovered in the garden shed of New Zealander cinema projectionist Jack Murtagh in 1989 and donated to the NFPF.
